Do I need a custom or a templated website?
If you want to be found, you have to put in the work or pay up.
The only way to be found is to make sure your website has all the fundamentals right: is your website optimised for a fast load time? Is your website responsive for all devices and screen sizes? Do you have key terms and phrases throughout your website so you are found in web searches?
If you're not getting any of the basic things right, you're never going to be found.
You have two choices here: you can either learn how to optimise your website or you can hire an external website development company to do it for you.
You can also make sure you're getting a high level of traffic by having good social media connections and staying active. Add your site to relevant directories and listing sites, making sure they are relevant for your business. But be careful: don't just sign up to any and all, or you could see your website black-listed.
Having a blog on your website is an extremely useful tool; as long as your posts are relevant to your business, you'll be making a good impression.
As long as you're getting the fundamentals right and you're staying active on either social media or via a blog on your website, you're going to be moving your business in the right direction.
